The second round of fixtures were played last night, so how did everyone do? The Cricket Club played their first game of the season against the Gladstone. It was the men from Skerries who continued their fine start to the season with a 4-2 win. The White Harp Bar travelled to The Strand. Both teams are still searching for their first wins of the season after playing out a 3-3 draw. The Fingals Cave picked up their first points with a 4-2 win over St. Maurs in Skerries. After drawing last week, reigning champions Colmcilles overcame The Cock Tavern 4-2 to get their title defence back on track. Walshes are still to drop a game after beating The Top Shop 6-0 in Rush. Finally, Man O’War got their first ever win in the RTDL with a 4-2 defeat of Murrays.
Please note that there will be NO DARTS next Friday due to the exhibition in the Bracken Court. Check upcoming events for more details.
Mick Barry leads the way with the highest checkout so far. Mick put out 155(t20 t19 d19) in his game against The Cock Tavern.Fellow ‘Cilles man ”Ruthless” Dylan Routledge hit a 180 in his game. Well done to Conor Macguire of The Cricket Club, who also hit a 180 in his first ever game of darts. Again, if there are any high check outs or 180s hit, dont forget to let us know.

Congratulations to Anto Caldwell and Keith Foley on winning the open doubles competition on sat in the cricket club. The lads played very well on the day, beating Davy Boylan and Tommy Murphy in the final. Anto and Keith beat Dudger Byrne and Paul Wade Jnr in one semi final, while Tommy and Davy knocked out Darren Wade and Brendan Leonard.
There was a double celebration for the Foleys as Keiths son Daniel won the youths competition. Daniel played super darts all day and beat the impressive David Carthy in the final. Keep it up lads!

So the season is up and running again. The Strand Bar had a tricky opening fixture up in Swords against the champions Colmcilles. A very close game ended up in an entertaining 3-3 draw. Newcomers The White Hart Bar and The White Hart Lounge also played out a hard fought 3-3 draw. Walshes opened up their campaign with an impressive 6-0 over St. Maurs. The Top Shop won the last 2 games to win 4-2 against debutants The Man O’War. The Cock Tavern maybe surprised a few people(not themselves) by sealing a 4-2 win against Murrays in Lusk. The last match of the night in Skerries saw local rivals The Gladstone beat Fingal’s Cave, also on a scoreline of 4-2. The cricket club had their bye week.
Dont forget to mark on the scorecard and let us know, if anyone hits 180s or high checkouts. Darren Wade is our early leader after putting out a 124 finish on the bull to beat Scoby Maughan.
Also let us know about any upcoming competitions that are being held

Its that time of year again and this friday sees the start of the new season. There are 13 teams entered this year, with 2 teams from The White Hart making their debuts. There are also returns to the league for The Cricket Club, Fingals Cave and The Man O’War.
Another exciting addition to this season is the involvement of Bamburys Bookmakers. Every week, you will be able to place bets on that weeks fixtures and on the outright winner of the league from their bookies on the main street in Rush.
