Walshes will be top for Christmas after a 5-1 victory against The Cricket. Anto Caldwell’s 116 gets him on the high checkout table again.
Colmcilles remain the only unbeaten team this season after a 4-2 win over The White Hart Bar in Balbriggan.
Murrays and The White Hart Lounge played in Lusk but nothing could separate the 5th and 6th placed teams as they played out a 3-3 draw.
The Gladstone were also held to a 3-3 draw by The Man O’ War in Skerries.
The final game of the night saw The Cock Tavern beat St. Maurs 5-1.
The darts is now finished until the New Year. It will return on Friday 8th of Jan when the last round of fixtures of the first half of the season will be played.
There will be a comp on in the Cricket Club over Xmas. Keep an eye on the upcoming comp section for more details.
On behalf of the RTDL, I would like to wish a Happy Christmas and New Year to everyone involved in The Rush Town Dart League.

Congratulations to Anto Caldwell on winning the open competition that was held in Rush Cricket Club on Sat 5th Dec. Anto defeated his Walshes teammate Liam Redden 5-2 in a lacklustre final . Neither player really produced their best darts but it was Anto who was more clinical and stepped it up when needed to. The beaten semi finalists were Dylan Rutledge and Darren Wade. The highest check out on the day went to Dudger Byrne with a 108.
Dylan Rutledge was the winner of the youths competition that was played earlier in the day. He defeated Daniel Foley in a very entertaining final. Well done lads!!
Final:
Anto Caldwell 5-2 Liam Redden
Semi Final:
Anto Caldwell 4-2 Dylan Rutledge
Liam Redden 4-3 Darren Wade
Quarter Finals:
Anto Caldwell beat Dudger Byrne
Liam Redden beat Bellies Harper
Darren Wade beat Barry Armstrong
Dylan Rutledge beat Martin O’ Connell

Colmcilles failed to capitalise on Walshes having the week off as they could only draw with Murrays in Lusk. Infact, they have Brendan Barry to thank for the point as he hit the crucial double in the final game. Mark Howard increased his lead at the top of the 180 charts with another maximum in his game.
It was The Strand who came out on top of the battle between 3rd and 4th as they defeated The Gladstone 4-2 in Skerries.
The Cock move up to 4th place on the heels on The Strand after they had a 4-2 victory away to The Cricket.
The White Hart Lounge recorded a 5-1 win against St. Maurs to move them up to 6th place.
The game between The Top Shop and The White Hart Bar was postponed due to a death.
Walshes and The Man O’ War had the night off.
